Leonard Cohen's October 19th Concert Has Been Moved to the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center

Tampa, FL - September 29, 2009 - Leonard Cohen's October 19th concert has been moved from the originally scheduled St. Pete Times Forum to the more intimate Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center (TBPAC).  The TBPAC offers fans a special opportunity to get up close and experience Leonard Cohen in a more personal setting, while enjoying the emotive and superbly crafted concert engagement that the acclaimed singer/songwriter/poet has been performing in venues of all sizes worldwide this year.

Ticketholders who purchased tickets through Ticketmaster.com or Ticketmaster charge-by-phone will automatically be assigned comparable seats and will receive an email or phone call with detailed instructions to obtain the new tickets.  Fans that purchased through the St. Pete Times Forum Box Office or at a Ticketmaster Retail Outlet will need to return to the point-of-purchase for an exchange.  After Friday, October 16th, all ticket exchanges will be handled by the TBPAC box office, while refunds will still be available at point of purchase.

To purchase tickets, visit the TBPAC Box Office or http://tbpac.org.

Leonard Cohen's 2009 tour has been praised by fans & critics for the warm and inviting atmosphere that the legendary artist creates at each venue:

"Cohen's signature voice that is the ultimate draw in this sort of live setting…it caressed the theater into rapt silence, the violet vibe more reminiscent of a church service than a pop performance."
-Detroit Free Press, May 10, 2009

"...The 74-year-old Canadian song-poet put on a magnificent three-hour show...filled with prayer-like intensity and easygoing grace, not to mention sartorial splendor, meticulous musicianship, and as perfectly crisp a sound mix as I can ever recall hearing at a rock show."
-Philadelphia Inquirer, May 14, 2009

"Cohen was a humble, generous host whose bass voice glowed with golden tones when he dropped into his bottom register, whose best songs were as good as songs get, whose wit was exceeded only by his grace and dignity.  Cohen sang quietly, gently, deeply, and he made every word count."
-San Francisco Chronicle, April 15, 2009
